You will hear melodic new music and song settings from living composers Richard Faith, Roger Keele, Maurice Rissman,and Robert Nelson, all of whom will attend the concert. JANUARY 26, 2010 7:30 p.m. Five is Alive: The 20th Century Quintet Deborah Dunham, double bass; Oleg Sulyga, violin; Suzanne Lefevre, viola; Linda Gilbert, oboe; and Sasha Potiomkin, clarinet Join us for an evening featuring two compelling chamber music quintets from opposite ends of the last century: Sergei Prokofiev's opus 39, originally written in 1923 for the ballet "Trapeze," and David Anderson's beloved "Quintet" with lots of jazz and rock idioms for the same scoring of oboe, clarinet, violin, viola, and double bass. This Student Outreach concert will feature two complete works: Beethoven's Quartet in F-Minor, Op. 95 and Dvorak's Viola Quintet in E-flat Major, Op. 97.
